All children can sing! Westminster Children’s Chorus (WCC) is now welcoming new singers as it launches its Fall season of making music in Escondido.
Rehearsals begin again in August, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1500 S. Juniper St. Escondido, CA 92025. WCC is open to children in Kindergarten through Grade 5, and no audition is required. Singers do not need to live in Escondido to participate.
Tuition for the Fall season is $30, scholarships are available—financial need will never be a barrier to participation in the Westminster Children’s Chorus.
This milestone season will culminate in a Christmas Concert performed at Westminster Presbyterian Church. We will also be going to a few retirement facilities to sing Christmas Carols.
About the Westminster Children’s Chorus
Our Chorus will meet once a week at Westminster Community Church in Escondido. We will provide an opportunity for children to experience the joy of singing in a non-competitive environment, develop and strengthen fundamental musicianship skills, such as pitch and rhythm, blending with others, and harmonies. Other skills achieved from being in a choral group include teamwork and cooperation along with growth in self confidence.
Our Children’s Musical Director, Rachael Higgins, has a Bachelor’s degree in music performance and a Masters in teaching. She has taught music in school environments and private lessons as well. See her bio below
We look forward to having your child or children participate and grow in their musical abilities. If you have any questions, please contact Trina McMahon, Children’s Ministry Director, at trina@wpcEsco.com
