wELCOME

What you can expect.

Worship services take place on Sunday mornings in our sanctuary, near the back of the campus. Services last about an hour.
We have both a contemporary (9am) and traditional (11am) service. Typically you can expect worship songs mixed with media and a team that works hard to make sure to present God’s timeless truths in a way that keeps your attention and is relevant to the world you live in everyday.

INTERESTED IN JOINING US THIS SUNDAY?

We invite anyone and everyone to attend our Sunday worship services as we worship and celebrate God. We desire for everyone to enter into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

WHAT TO WEAR:

You will see everything from business suits to leisure wear at our worship services. Please feel free to wear whatever makes you comfortable. All we do require is that you come as you are!

For the family:

Our age-specific ministries have something for everyone in the family. Our 9am service has a family room for families that want to stay together, a nursery - 5th grade in the children’s wing, and at 10am we have youth group. Children are picked up in the playground.

Fellowship:

Each Sunday, we gather between services in the patio for complimentary coffee and pastries to connect with one another in friendly fellowship.

Understanding our worship services:

  1. Gathering. Worship begins as the people gather—greeting one another, praying in silence, sharing announcements, or offering music to the glory of God. The act of assembling in Jesus’ name bears witness to the Church’s identity and mission as Christ’s body in the world.

  2. Call to worship. A call to worship will typically be drawn from sentences of Scripture or be a prayer that expresses God’s invitation to gather as Christ’s body in this place.

  3. Singing/Worship. For millennia the people of God have sung psalms as praise and prayer to God. Early Christians continued to sing, pray, and study the psalms, interpreting them in the light of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Singing worship songs and hymns remains an important part of the Reformed heritage. We typically sing three worship songs at each service.

  4. Prayer. A prayer will be offered, giving thanks and praise to God, expressing joy in the presence of Christ, and calling for the gifts of the Spirit to be poured out upon the gathered community. This prayer may contain many different themes and images that are drawn from scripture and asking God to guide, help, direct, heal, and bless multiple different groups of people. The prayer will also have a time to confess our sins to God and ask for forgiveness. We will end our time in prayer with the Lord’s Prayer.

  5. Preaching of God’s word. The Pastor will preach a sermon based on Biblical scriptures and give theological understanding to the text and give practical application.

  6. Musical response. After the preaching of the Word, the congregation will close in a musical response led by the choir/praise band.

  7. Benediction. A blessing will be prayed over the congregation at the end of the service.

  • The Lord’s Supper/Communion. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, or Communion. The Lord’s Supper is open to anyone who confesses that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Savior. If you are visiting on one of these Sunday’s and do not confess Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, we encourage you to skip this portion of the service.

  • Baptism. Occasionally we will celebrate the sacrament of Baptism in service. This is a celebration of an individual publicly affirming placing their faith in Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
